The Challenge

The developers of a speculative mixed use facility faced a unique challenge in developing a new building that would be ready for a future tenant without knowing what exact type business would be in place in the coming time. What was known was that a HVAC system was needed to provide a conditioned environment while also being flexible enough to accommodate potential tenant changes to meet their needs. For this 500k sq. ft. warehouse, WBG’s Design/Build Team was tasked to deliver a practical solution that met the buildings initial needs while also being able to meet potential adaptability to the space.

The Solution

Working alongside the General Contractor Miller Valentine, WBG’s Design/Build Team designed and installed the facilities initial ventilation & heating infrastructure to prepare the facility for occupancy. Our team had installed the gas make up air units, ventilation fans, and the associated louvers to provide the necessary airflow & heating to the space. Completed in a strict time frame of roughly 1 month, this project demonstrates WBG’s ability to deliver on practical mechanical solutions for large scale developments here in South Carolina.

  • “Here at WBG, we have a values-based safety culture—one that connects workplace safety to the real human impact accidents have on families, coworkers, and communities. This approach has proved powerful because it moves safety beyond rules and compliance and makes it personal and meaningful.  Don’t be selfish, be safe.”
