WBG’s Special Projects Team completed work at one of Prisma Health Cancer Institute centers in the replacement of a 15-ton & 3-ton HVAC system that serves both the treatment and administrative areas within the building. Due to the project involving restricted rooftop access due to the radiation that is present, along with having a minimal after hours work schedule, each aspect of this project required coordination between all parties to ensure minimal disruption impacted the daily operation.
In working closely with the Prisma Health team, we jointly developed a plan of attack that included the likes of equipment pre-staging, crane coordination, establishing safe access routes, and approved time for the work to be completed. Through proactive planning & efficient field execution, the new HVAC systems were installed and started up all the while maintaining uninterrupted operations for the facility.
