W.B. Guimarin & Co. is pleased to announce the advancement of William Shannon within our Construction Department to the role of Superintendent – Pipe & Plumbing. William decided on making his start in the construction world at the age of 18 and quickly became enthralled in working in a team environment. Guided by a family member to get into the plumbing trade, William worked alongside his father-in-law gaining real world experience on a variety of jobs in South Carolina.

“I liked the fact that I got to see a facility at the end of it being built, and knowing I was involved in it…pipe work & pipe turning is an art, and I found it fascinating seeing the experienced guys in the field do this line of work.”

In working with project managers, estimators, and many other individuals in the construction world, William has a well-rounded background in the working progression of a new construction job. His consistent work ethic, new plumbing construction knowledge, and constant approach to push himself professionally to educate himself will continue to allow him to grow as a leader & mentor to his team.

“I’m pumped about working with my team and adapting to being the new superintendent. The guys I worked with on a daily basis pushed me to take this next step. The company & guys in the field believe in me, and they know I got their back as I have been in the trenches with them.”

From his first big commercial job he was on at Hopkins Middle School back in 2005 and up to today, William’s dedication and job site experience will continue to bring excellence in all of WBG’s workmanship to our customers throughout South Carolina. Guimarin is excited to have William on as out new Superintendent of Pipe & Plumbing, and look forward to his continued growth within our Construction Team.
