Careers in Construction
October 1, 2014
Just as we are seeing reports in the news about America’s shrinking Middle Class, a new study from Georgetown’s Center on Education and the Workforce and Civic Enterprises highlights that there are 29 million middle-class jobs in the US that do NOT require a 4 year bachelor’s degree from a college or University and pay between $35,000 and $72,000 per year.
Highlighted in this job category are jobs in the construction trades – as reported by NPR’s Marketplace, “People with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning can earn more than 25% of university graduates.”
The whole report can be found at Marketplace’s website.
