The expansion of the Peace Center in Greenville, SC will require all of the capacity of the Peace Center's existing chillers. A new chiller is required in the Gunter building to serve existing Air Handlers in the Gunter building--but fitting this new 220 ton chiller into the existing Mechanical Room of the historic Gunter building proved to be no small task.
First, the chiller had to be moved from the delivery truck to a smaller truck to fit down the access road along the river.

But the chiller was too wide to fit within the doorway to the mechanical room. So before setting the unit, we had to take it off the truck and lay it down in the yard. |

And the support legs. |

At last, the chiller will fit within the doorway to the mechanical room--but not without careful maneuvering! |

The chiller made it into the room, just barely clearing existing systems |

And was moved into place |

Where our guys could reattach the VFD support legs. |
