Bill Waters promoted to President of Construction

Bill WatersW. B. Guimarin & Company, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Bill Waters to President of Construction.  Mr. Waters has been employed by W.B. Guimarin & Company, Inc. as Vice President of Construction & Operations since July 2004.  A Penn State graduate, he began his career in the mechanical contracting industry at Sauer; he then spent nineteen years as Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Operations of C.B. Strain & Son, Inc., of Poughkeepsie, New York.  

Some highlights of Mr. Waters tenure at W. B. Guimarin & Company include: achieving 1,000,000 man-hours with no lost time accidents in 2010, the second time WBG has reached this safety goal; construction of W. B. Guimarin's two largest projects to date with contract values over $10,000,000, the College of Charleston Science Center and New Stall High School; and numerous awards, including Subcontractor of the Year by Winter Construction.

Mr. Waters' responsibilities include complete management of all construction operations, including procurement, manufacturing, safety, quality, and project management.  Mr. Waters succeeds Carroll Heyward, who has acted as President since 1979.  Mr. Heyward will remain at W. B. Guimarin as CEO.
